Many of our members have worked long and hard arranging the space, booking the guests and finding the catering. Let us assure you, this is going to be by far the best Holiday Party we have ever thrown and it will be a sad day for you, should you not come.
We are excited to present our event at The Grand Estonian Hotel; a beautiful structure built in 1926 bringing you back 80 years to a time of elegance and classy design.
We have not one, but two main events – first is Mad Science, a fun science presentation for kids and adults alike. Later in the evening is musician George Hrab, a multi-talented and well known performer. We have landed the fantastic Green Harvest food emporium to cater the event with many different kinds of food for all tastes and ages. But most of all, we have each other – a group of like-minded individuals that throughout the year come together to enjoy many different kinds of activities – and this being our main event, it’s not the one to miss. Everyone will be there and we hope you will too!
Mad Science Show:
Mad Science brings kids the fun, the amazement and the wonder of all things science. Children will be dazzled by the impressive science demonstrations in this spectacular show! From foggy dry ice storms and gravity-defying beach balls to a Mad Science burp-flavored potion to indoor fireworks, the audience will be amazed by what they see, hear and taste.
The multi-talented George Hrab is a musician, songwriter, podcaster and author. He is the drummer for The Philadelphia Funk Authority, producer of the Geologic Podcast, and regularly hosts/emcees such science conventions as The Amazing Meeting. He has recorded six albums of original music. His work is known for exploring atheist, skeptic and science themes with both intelligence and humor.
